Methodical and melodic. Calculated and innovative. Aria's practice combines the interpretive framework of intuitive storytelling, with the analytical nature of rigging and animation to create technically proficient and visually gratifying work. Art that strives to explore various facets of the human condition.
Her films have been officially selected and recognized at numerous international and domestic film festivals. Additionally she has presented her research on animation at multiple universities and academic conferences; notably at the University of New South Wales - Art & Design campus in Sydney, Australia.
Aria has collaborated with Toon Boom Animation Inc. as an Ambassador, Animation Consultant, and Beta Tester.
Aria holds a MFA degree in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts. She also holds a BFA degree in Animation, and a BFA degree in Illustration, both obtained concurrently at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Aria presently resides in the Peoria Metropolitan Area, as an Assistant Professor of Interactive Media - Animation, at Bradley University.
